Status of online poker in the US
Players hoping for a clarification on the status of online poker in the US got some positive news this week with the introduction of new legislation that would regulate and tax online gambling.
The Bipartisan Tax Fairness and Simplification Act (S 3018), introduced February 23rd, 2010 by Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Judd Gregg (R-NH), is legislation aimed primarily at reducing the tax burden of typical working class families on both logistical and economic levels.
Algorithm of my Poker program is available for testing
Algorithm of my Poker program is available for testing
As i promised.
You may test it here
Here is short instruction on how to use this poker test program written on Adobe Flex (you will need a flash player)
There are some buttons on the top… By pressing it, program will start auto shuffle/deal 7 cards until it will not get desired combination.
There is also “Manual” mode where you may put you card, and test how program defines a best combination (most important part).
To enable Manual mode you have to tick the “On/Off designed deal” check box. From now on, the program will read values from custom input. You have 5 x 2 text areas (Table) – first 5 is a card values (numbers 1 to 13.. where 1 – Ace, 13- King)
Second 5 text inputs are for suits (numbers 1-4).
Same rules are for a Hand Card slots.
Please Note, that program does not validate input, that means that you have to make sure that there is no Duplicated cards inputted
(You actually can deal for example 5 Aces, or 2 cards with the same suit and number).
After all input done, press “Run Random / Desired Deal”.
If “On/Off designed deal” unchecked and “Run Random / Desired Deal” pressed, program will deal a random table and hand. That’s About it.
Happy testing!
If any bug found, please let me know by pressing Contact Us link at the TOP.

No more Master Card for Poker
No more Master Card for Poker
Again Bad news for American Players. No more Master Cards!
As if playing online poker wasn’t difficult enough for most residents of the United States, things got a little tougher today as credit card giants, Mastercard, blocked deposits by players. Mastercard has apparently figured out how some gaming sites were manipulating the coding, to previously allow transactions to go through, and have now blocked the process.
Now the major online poker rooms including Doylesroom, Bodog, Absolute Poker, and UltimateBet no longer list Mastercard as an option in their cashiers.
Mastercard have previously worked out the “gambling deposit loophole” only for sites to find a work-around and offer the method again within a few months.
It’s uncertain if that will happen again and, for the time being, Mastercard using poker players are left in limbo.
Visa, Mastercard’s main rival, are yet to find a way to block the deposit process and that credit card remains one of the main ways for gamblers to deposit into sites in the USA.
UIGEA has developed somewhat of a “cat and mouse” game between operators and credit/debit card companies. Many methods of depositing still exist for American online poker players, despite the legal implications that have been threatened at various stages by authorities.
Echecks, Ewalletexpress, Usemywallet and pre-paid VISA cards are amongst the cashier options that continue to work well for Americans.
